Today was my big day. I had to drop some knowledge on my brothers and sisters in Wikis Widgets, & Blogs (OH MY!). I spoke of Terry Wallis. Terry was in a coma for 19 and when he woke up he thought he was still 19. Terry has a mustache. Awesome.

Last week we learned about Microsoft Expression. Their equivalent to Adobe’s Dreamweaver. Seems like it may be much less frustrating than Dreamweaver CS4. I remember Macromedia. Those were the days. Etc.

We also made a webpage about our High School. In May, it will be 6 years since I graduated from Magnolia High School in New Martinsville, WV.

We went to the AKUS Gallery in Shafer to look at the artowrk of Kelly Bigelow. She creates her work by using a scanner and scanning objects, grass, people, animals, toys, etc and pieces it all together on a computer. The future is now!

THE WORLD IS FLAT!

Earlier in the semester we watched a portion of a presentation about the concept of “the world being flat” in relation to e-commerce. The internet has put everyone in the world on the same playing field. If the world were flat I would throw things off of the edge and wonder where the went. Then write about it in a blog.

Today in class someone gave a presentation about Malcom Gladwell. Charlie Rose & Malcom Gladwell were talking about Michael Jordan when I walked in the room. Michael Jordan can catch the millenium falcon with his bare hands. Michael Jordan once tried to wear every pair of shoes that have been named after him at the same time. Needless to say he didn’t have enough feet or time waste not slam dunking basketballs with Looney Toons. Space Jam was the apex of Michael Jordan’s career. The country of Jordan once wanted to change their name to “Michael Jordan” to promote tourism.

The also talked about Asian kids being exceptional at math and how our European ancestors worked until noon and laid around drunk all afternoon.
